Welcome to the adventurous world of THE STURKLING DIARIES.
It is a comic strip story of the challenges facing wild birds in the modern world, with a certain degree of artistic licence!!!!
Watching my garden birds and observing them in the wild never fails to give me inspiration, but some old friends who have followed the stories from the very start continue to support and encourage me with feedback and ideas. I also rely on a special friend who always has an idea or a story that contributes in a large extent to the stories and characters featured.
Enjoy your time here and don't forget to look for the Mouse in each volume. He's a crafty little creature and is very good at hiding away (as Mousie's often are)!!!!!!
Above all, I hope you have lots of fun and choose to follow the adventurourks (URK speak) world of The Sturklings.
In case you wondered, my 'biker' name is genuine. I do have a motorcikle. My current pride and joy and called 'THE BLACK STURK' (TBS for short). 100 points if you can find the Sturkling. He's there somewhere!!!! Previous bikes include: Honda Blackbird, Norton Commander Rotary, Triumph Bonneville, BSA B44 - and my first bike was a BSA Bantam.
The Sturkling Diaries is non-political but does include some topical environmental and conservation issues that are appropriate to each story.
Any resemblance within the stories to persons living or no longer with us is done so with the very greatest of respect and will be only rarely intended.
